I am a PhD candidate at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.
My research focuses on data assimilation and uncertainty quantification with a focus on the role of subsea cable data in constraining ocean circulation models. In particular, I work with the Massachusetts General Circulation Model (MITgcm) under the Estimating the Circulation and Climate of the Ocean (ECCO) consortium.
I earned my B.A. in mathematics and physics from Bates College, where I studied numerical solutions to PDEs with Dr. Katharine Ott, and then extended that research to investigate barotropic vorticity simulations with Dr. Jeff Oishi.
In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly ultimate frisbee, cooking, and spending time with friends.
